(STOP!) check it out

stop! check it out...

Hi Ho...here's our last detour (3) over at Scrapbooking Australia Top 50 Amazing Race and what a challenge this has been !!
Criteria: "Oops we got lost on our way from Africa!! Scrap a layout with either some map paper, or arrows to get you going in the right direction again."  With a LO design inspired by Rachelle Minette, I decided to scrap the photos taken on Christmas day 2005 - on our holiday at Brooms Head, NSW - what a paradise part of the world it is too - so peaceful and surrounded by green bush and blue waters, and Brim (fish) at this time of the year too.
The LO includes our fishing permit - that I found along with the photos :)

Supplies used:
Cosmo Cricket & Bo bunny pps; my2angels white fishing net, my2angels dolphin & fish charms; my2angels Transparent-Glass-Cabochons(small & large); Eye Candy Magic buttons (fish); Purple Pumpkin button (stop);  Fancy Pants alpha stickers; Scrapping Outback embossing enamel foils (blue); VersaMark & VersaColor (turquoise) inks; baking twine and Washi tape from the Scrapbooking Australia Top 50 Amazing Race kit; Helmar adhesives; Kaisercraft rhinestones; Tattered Angels Glimmer glaze; Ranger liquid pearls; EK Success round punches; Jo Sonja's texture paste (illusion of waves); Signo gel pen; miscellaneous (unknown) buttons, arrow chipboard.

Thanks so much for popping over for a visit....our very LAST challenge due next Monday (26th November), so all going well I will be working on that this week....its certainly a 'different' challenge, so watch this space please LOL. I also hope to be working on my Christmas embellies, cards and pressie over the coming weeks which I may be able to share a sneak peek !! so please stay safe in this (forecasted) dangerous weather and have a great week ahead...

"don't stop till you get enough (scrapbooking)!!

Mt. Barney Easter retreat 2010
No doubt you can guess what this lovely group of ladies and myself are up to cant you? BUT can you guess WHO stuck the notice in the rear window of the car and it stayed there ALL the way from home to the Mt. Barney Lodge? LOL
The photo was taken during Easter weekend 2010 when I joined some scrapbooking friends for a 'mini' retreat at the beautiful Mt Barney Lodge
DH actually came along too, and took his 'gear' for mountain biking, model helicopter as well as a jigsaw puzzle.
When I asked if I could fit something that is the reply he came up with "yes dear...IF it will fit (famous last words)" of course we'd both wanted to fit alot of totally necessary stuff away with us! (as you do when you're a scrapper!)
Anyways, we had a great weekend away and I thought this was the perfect opportunity to scrap it, using my American Crafts fabric paper from my stash.
I've created this LO for stop number 7, Africa, over at Top 50 Scrapbooking Australia Amazing Race
The 3 criteria are:
1. Fabric
2. Happy photo √  One of my happiest times is relaxing with (or without) friends scrapbooking :)
3. Song Lyrics for title or subtitle √

The title of my LO was inspired by Michael Jackson's song "Don't Stop Till You Get Enough" released in 1979.   And I have to admit, this is one of my favourite quotes when it comes to my favourite hobby.

Supplies Used:  Dear Lizzys +American Crafts adhesive backed pps (Spring collection); BAzzill cardstock; my2angels present charming chain butterfly dry embossing die; flower die; TLC crafts fabric flower; white ribbon, lace and faux pearls; Kaisercraft brads; Basic Grey and Cosmo Cricket alpha stickers; uni-ball Signo metal/gel pens; Helmar adhesives; ; SBT50 Kit : washi tape, metal key and 3 small resin flowers.

Thanks so much for popping over today. Have a great week ahead, hugs'n' hearts, Mazz xxx

Soccer Rocks...

Paige & the Hibiscus Coast soccer team, Winter season 2011

This is “stop 6” over at The Scrapbooking Top 50 Australia Amazing Race.

For the check in for South America I chose Brazil.  I decided to create a LO based on soccer because of Brazilians’ love of the game.  The photos are of my older DGD playing soccer during the 2011 winter season.
The criteria to be included in the Brazil LO are as follows:
1 .Use drops/splashes of something on your page to represent the beautiful waterfalls of Brazil –you can see the drops and splashes (I blew through a straw)
2. Use a flag of some sort to join in with the Soccer mania of Brazil (3 top left)
3. Use some bling to get dressed up for Carnival celebrations. (orange flower with mocrobeads)
The ‘faux coral’ that I made out of the chipboard circle is inspired by a technique taught by the beautiful, talented Sandrine, and blowing through a straw taught by the amazing brilliant (and beautiful ) Rachelle both over at Scrapping Outback and I love it.

Supplies used:
Crate Pp (Sweet Branch Collection); Glimmer Mists (turquoise blue, tutti fruiti, heirloom gold, tiger lily); distress ink refill (peeled paint); micro-beads (clear and green); ScrapWare chip board (circle journal bits and scallop edge); dimensional magic, gesso; Lincraft and Helmar adhesives; Versa Color ink (pinecone); Paper House transparency (title and soccer balls); Kaiser alpha stickers; Amazing Race kit black & white felt button;  A lil Somethin’ flags; My2angels sports pin (howz that).
Next week …stop # 7 – Africa J  Thank you so much for popping over, please leave a message to say you stopped and peaked J  Hugs’n’hearts   Mazz xxxx

like a TROPICAL paradise

"The world is but a canvas to the imagination" Henry David Thoreau
Good evening everyone...yes as promised a LO created for close off in less than 2 hours !  Yes just getting in my the hair of my chinny chin chin LMAO....The colour theme over at Orange Paperie & Co. this month is "going tropical" hence the title and inspiration for the LO. I just adore tropo colours!!  I'm also using some awesome "Words or Whatever" chipboard for the sketch challenge over at WOW.
My apologies for the pics, but taken under bad light, coupled with flash,  just doesn't do the LO justice - I'm really very happy with the result with the tropo colours, fussy cutting and dimension.
The photos of my precious grandaughters in this LO were taken by my DS while on family holiday in NZ last year.
I just love the details of the 'drops' and clear water in the photos.
Hopefully my next LO wont be so near to closing time - its for the Top 50 Amazing race - due Monday 5th November...
Supplies used:
Prima pps (Animal Bash and Zephyr Collection); Prima flowers and leaves (Zephyr) ; my2angels birdcage charm and frog pin;Stampendous embossing powder (shabby pink); Embossit ink (clear); Words or Whatever chipboard flourish (WOW183 flourish10); Dimensional Magic; Versa colour ink (peony and canary); stamp-it embossing ; We R Memory Keepers title (Tropical); Provo Craft Alphabittees; Eye Candy Magic Fimo bird pin and clouds; powder (clear); Lime Tree Creationscrochet flower; Crafter’s Workshop template (Chevron); Matisse impasto medium; Adirondack Dabber (pearl and pink sherbet); gesso primer; Perfect Pearl mists (mandarin); Glimmer Mist (tiger lily); Signo gel pens; Helmar 3d Scrap dots.
WOW! that's October over, so here's wishing you a happy November 2012...hugs'n'hearts...Mazz xxx

At the Beach

This LO was inspired by the talented Tracy Keilty, owner at my2angels - and an amazing teacher, mentor and embellishment queen. I've always found the my2angels classes to be "no strangers here - only friends we havent met yet".
I'm always laughing, learning new techniques and creating (Tracy says havoc LOL); best of all we get to SHOP at reasonable prices always guaranteed to please. The BEST part is of course the new friends I've made at Tracy's Sunday afternoon classes.
I've created this LO for the my2angels October theme "Summer"...actually as usual these are photos that have been just sitting gathering dust, waiting to be scrapped.
The photos are of my younger DS on a north Auckland beach.
By the look of his 'fair' skin (and no hat?) I think I remember it was the first time he'd been in the sun LOL.
Supplies used:
Simple Stories pps (100 days of Summer & Aweso{me} collections); Crafty Kids die cut outs(Lucy’s beach bear); my2angels charms, dried starfish and Nature charming button; Croco Crackling colour (gold); starfish button unknown; 7gypsies word stickers; Brilliance ink (rocket red); Versa Color ink (black); Stampendous embossing enamel (aged ochre); Crafter’s Workshop (Dylusions) mask); Helmar adhesives;  Adorn it alpha stickers; Scrappin-Gear sleek writer pen.
So thanks so much for popping over - please say "hi" on my comments, so I know you've been :)...till next time....hugs'n'hearts and have a great week....Mazz xxx

Tourist - Yarraman 2007

Tourist - Yarraman 2007
I've often questioned what ever possessed me to take a photo of DH taking a photo?
Now I remember he was trying out the new video recorder that we'd bought duty free....SO when I saw the "Roadblock" (week 8)  criteria: to "Scrap a layout that includes a clearly visible camera or an item you can buy duty free" over at Scrapbooking Top 50's Amazing race...
I knew immediately what I was gonna scrap !!
When we were tourists at the Coomba Waterhole in Yarramin, it was mid-summer and weather perfect for (other people) swimming LOL.
It was also a lovely bush walk and day of discovering a 'different' kind of landscape in Queensland.
Supplies used:
Prima pps (Craftsman Collection); Crafty Kids die cut; my2angels charms and Nature charming button; Stampin’ Up punch (bird on branch); Versa Magic ink (Jumbo Java); Ranger embossing pad; Tim Holtz Idea-Ology film strip ribbon; Distress Stain (frayed burlap); Stampendous embossing enamel (aged copper); Heidi Swapp distressing tool; Scrappin-Gear sleek black writer; Helmar 450 Quick dry adhesive; Magic Mount; Crafter’s Workshop mask (gears); Adorn it and Provo Craft Alpha stickers.
Thanks so much for popping over...Hope you have a great week ahead - I have 2 more project challenges to finish before month end, so please pop back again xx hugs'n'hearts Mazz :)

My fairy

Your fairy is called Columbine Goblinglitter
She is a bringer of riches and wealth.
She lives in mushroom fields and quiet meadows.
She is only seen in the light of a shooting star.
She wears lilac and purple like columbine flowers. She has gentle green wings like a butterfly.
