(personality) UNMASKED 2016

Unmasked
Hello there!!! I've taken up the very FIRST More Than Words Challenge!!! The Main Challenge is based on a Word inspiration and a Creative Challenge...I've wanted to join in this brand new challenge since it was announced last year - and mark my words...the DT is AWESOMELY talented and from what I've seen so far, the entries to this challenge are WAY beyond fantastic!!  So, here's the inspiration picture:
http://morethanwordschallenge.blogspot.com.au/2016/01/january-main-challenge-personality.html
You can choose to use the word "personality" somewhere on your project, or simply be inspired to create from it.  Plus, January's creative challenge is to use a "selfie".
Honestly, at the moment I hate photos of myself, although I don't mind group photos so much. This photo took a while, and it’s a bit pixelated (as am I) and I'm doing the normal "cheeky, weird" smile lol.   Oh and in case you're wondering where my inspiration came from?? Very good question because I'd lost my mojo for about 2 weeks this month and I didn't even think I'd have enough time...but since this LO is "all about ME",
I've used my favourite (not clean and simple) "shabby" scrapping style together with a collection of old and new embellishments that are intended to symbolise my (diverse) personality
Supplies Used: Usually I would list ALL the products, but today I thought I'd share my favourites and also reveal that my favourite supplies (still) come from SCRAPPING OUTBACK, my2angels scrapbooking and craft supplies and the occasional internet site such as Mirrabooka Scrapbooking (where I got the metal mask and silver fern from).
So without further ado I have used Marion Smith Designs papers (Junque Gypsy collection - Carte Blanche, Shangri La and Nota Bene); Microbeads; Dylusions Diamond border stencil; Martha Stewart punches;
Prima Marketing flowers, alphas, findings (bath), wooden embellishments (key to happiness, Eiffel Tower); Kaisercraft Mist (orange); Lindy's Stamp Gang Starburst mists (Cocklebells Coral, Mission Bells Brown, Sea Mint Green) and Flat Fabio (Toto's Tornado black); Couture Creations foam mounting tape.
Most charms on this LO come from my2angels scrapbooking  and include: passport, world (my love of travel), scissors (my love of cutting paper); cook book (my love of cooking); teapot, cake with cutlery (my love of tea and sweet food lol); house and couch (my love of being home, watching tv with dlh);  tree of life, filigrees, butterfly (I adore the symbol of the butterfly);
 I’ve placed the wooden Punga, and Koala together representing my dual citizenship; above the bath are some Water Bubble Cabochons representing my love of bubble baths;

The recycled zipper represents the unzipping of my dreams, which includes time (Clock Swag die) to fulfil all my dreams. Of course the camera representing my love of photography and stash words representing other important stuff (to me).
There is also various stash mesh, sticky glitter tape, Impasto gel, black archival ink, Matisse Lang Lang Sand, black gesso, Paua Shells.
Thanks SO much for looking at this long post…. I do hope you now see me as I am, "unmasked".
  Till next time hearts  ‘n’ hugs 💏 💏Mazz 💏

No day is over if it makes a Memory - WW1 January 2016

"No day is over if it makes a Memory"
Hi All,

I must admit this LO came together a lot more easily than usual - as soon as I saw the "treetop" green criteria for this month's White With 1 challenge:
I also have to day that the reason was that I knew this photo, taken circa 1969, was the one! The colour of our school uniforms - oh yes that's the memory LOL.
The stencil is really supposed to be stitching, so not only are we (my sister and I) stitched together by family but I also think the stitches and circles look like kisses and hugs

Supplies used:
Resin Rainbow doily and tissue paper
Prima flowers

Couture Creations double sided tape and Vintage Rose Garden paper (Green Woods)
Georgia Heald stencil

Thanks for popping over today - I hope you're having a great weekend - with our Australia Day Public Holiday on Tuesday - could be a day for more creating for me???

BELIEVE - BE YOU Scrapping Outback January 2016

White with a twist of silver, grey and a touch of black
HAPPY 2016!!!!!!!
 What better way to start off Scrapping Outback's 2016 and the White With a Twist challenge - than the festive, versatile theme hues of white, silver, grey and a touch of black?

I created the first Lay-Out "BELIEVE - Fly, Spread Your Wings" because I just adored the photo from the day my sister first added it to her FB profile...
AND because she keeps mentioning that she LOVES butterflies - as do I....I love the symbol of the butterfly and this DS (I have 4 sisters) has overcome and is still enduring many 'challenges' to become a beautiful butterfly ;)
"BELIEVE" Supplies:
Bo Bunny Enchanted papers (rose) and fairy tales glitter paper; The crafter’s Workshop template (#554 butterfly collage); Imaginarium Designs chipboard (feather);

 Lindy’s Stamp Gang (LSG) Starburst mist (frozen Jack Frost); LSG embossing powder (pinely white and silver moon sapphire); Petaloo and Prima flowers;

 Petaloo and Prima canvas and vellum butterflies;
 Prima wood icons (believe);

Couture Creations double sided tape; VersaMark watermark stamp pad; Tattered Angels Glimmer Mist (pearl) and silver. Other:
Texture paste; Viva crackling colour (white); Ranger liquid pearls (silver);
 Dina Wakley for Ranger stamps (scribbly insects); Georgia Heald for The Scrapbook Diaries stamps (Fly and Spread your wings); Stampendous shaved ice.

_____________________________________________________________________________________
and here's my second inspiration:
 I've been wanting to create the LO "BE YOU" for a while but waiting for just the right challenge colours !!!   And now that this nephew ( I have a few of these too LOL) is now grown up, I think I am able to say that he is certainly unique, being himself and he knows what he wants and goes after it just like the "eye of the tiger" :)
I've had this photo of my nephew playing the role of a white tiger for a long time - and I'm very happy with the results.
 "BE YOU" Supplies: Scrapping Outback Cardstock (white) ; WOW wood veneer title (Be You) ;
Prima Marketing stencil, resin frame, wood icons and Colour À La Crèmes (black and dark grey);
The crafter’s workshop template (#454 specimen); Lindy’s Stamp Gang (LSG) Starburst mist (frozen Jack Frost); Couture Creations double sided tape  ; Versa colour ink (black) ; Petaloo and Prima flowers;
Kaisercraft Into the wild collection stamp; Dusty Attic chipboard  (foliage#2) #DA1292; Manor House Creations Ornate frame (flourish black) ;
 Other: Helmar 450 quick-dry glue, Texture paste, muslin

 I'm really pleased to say that I'm hoping to get more challenges done during 2016. I really love 'scrapping' and crafting - utilising my photographic memories, and others' photographs too, as my time and my way to relax and unwind.
 Until next time...I hope you all have a WONDERFUL, SAFE and healthy 2016 and beyond.   As always, thanks so much for popping over today - loads of hugs 'n' hearts  Mazz xxx

My fairy

Your fairy is called Columbine Goblinglitter
She is a bringer of riches and wealth.
She lives in mushroom fields and quiet meadows.
She is only seen in the light of a shooting star.
She wears lilac and purple like columbine flowers. She has gentle green wings like a butterfly.
